Photos from High Point Pigeon Supplies and Jedds Bird Supplies trip

In June, I spent two weeks in Los Angeles for a Film Study Workshop (for my "other" career) and made sure to take a trip to visit Richard and Iria Oceguera in person at their High Point Pigeon Supply store in Ontario, California! They have carried the Kastle Pigeon products and our wall calendar for a few years now. Richard and Iria are so kind and helpful and care about their customers and I got to see it in person during the time I spent hanging around the store today. Thank you Richard and Iria for visiting with me today, thank you for carrying our products, and thank you for all you do for our sport and your customers.  One of...

Meet Cleveland Brooks of Syracuse Racing Pigeon Club

My "real" job is teaching multimedia and storytelling with film. I recently spent a week in Syracuse, NY with the NPPA Multimedia Immersion workshop as a faculty member helping participants hone their video storytelling skills. Never one to miss an opportunity to talk to a pigeon flyer, I looked up Cleveland Brooks and he was kind enough to spend time with me and one of the workshop participants to talk about his pigeons. Much to the delight of the workshop, he even brought some of his pigeons to our official screening party!  Thank you Cleveland for being such a gracious host to our workshop participant and to me at such a late notice! I loved meeting you, your family and...

Photos from the 2017 Louisville Young Bird pigeon show

I love attending the Louisville Young Bird Show every year, especially since it's a very short drive away. I got to spend the morning with my wife selling calendars at the show. It was nice to visit with some friends and see some beautiful specimens. I didn't have much time to shoot photos, but have some to share with you here.

Are you tired of slime in your drinkers? Acidifier Plus can help

I've been using Acidifier Plus for so long, that I have taken for granted the additional benefit of the reduction in slime in my waterers. I was reminded a few weeks ago by a customer who was telling me about how he had less slime build up since using this product. With the help of my daughter in this video, I do a little test showing you what a drinker looks like every day while using Acidifier Plus. I changed water each day and added one scoop of product per gallon of water. I did not rinse the drinkers, and it was in the high 80's and topped 90 degrees a few days. I just dumped the water and made...
